Maison Noir began with a single wool wrap coat, made because the founder could not find one that would survive a decade. It sold out in eleven days, and the decision that followed has shaped everything since: make fewer things, make them properly, and be able to name every hand that touched them.

Today the house produces thirty-two pieces a season across six ateliers, none larger than forty people. We do not run mid-season sales, because we produce in runs small enough to sell through. What is left at the end of a season goes to Final Cut, reduced once and never restocked.

Every product page names the mill, the tannery and the country of make. If a piece fails, we repair it — for as long as the house exists, at no cost, whether you bought it last month or in 2016.
